Yes, former President Bill Clinton got the job done! Today, jailed American reporters Laura Ling and Euna Lee were pardoned by Kim Jung IL after being sentenced to 12 years of hard labor and now are in route to Los Angeles with President Clinton.
Apparently, the arrival of Bill Clinton gave the North Korean government the show of "respect" they felt the country, or Kim Jung IL, wasn't getting. President Clinton is doing the same difficult diplomatic work like Gov. Bill Richardson(D-NM) has done for years.
Is there a hope for improved relations between North Korea and the West? I hope so!
Let's congratulate President Clinton, Gov. Bill Richardson, and the families of Laura Ling, Euna Lee as well as Laura's sister, journalist Lisa Ling, for being so composed and giving to other families facing similar circumstances.
