Does CNN's "lone conservative" Lou Dobbs believes in the Bush war policy of "pre-emptive" strikes or is he just desperate for ratings?

On Tuesday, Lou Dobbs discovered MSNBC's new host Carlos Watson after he commented after viewing a summation of clips and video of the anti-health care protestors who were protesting everything aspect of ideology, except health care!

Of course, that would be an affront to "the lone conservative" Lou Dobbs and his right-wing radio allies who need to tie Obamacare to ideology to fuel the fire in their minions to defeat it.

And using the 'race' card..



Today, Carlos Watson gave a brief clarification of his statement which some viewers may felt as "controversial".

Personally, if I were Carlos Watson, I'd take the insult as a compliment! You have a new show, great personality, and you're targeted by the right..hello, ratings!!

Bush White House emails released yesterday indicate Karl Rove had "deep involvement" with former White House attorney Harriet Miers regarding conversations about the possibility of firing a number of U.S. Attorneys, including New Mexico U.S. Attorney David Iglesias. This latest release of digital evidence is contrary to Rove's previous statements and his assertions that New Mexico Republican officials like former House Republican Heather Wilson requested Iglesias' firing over poor performance.

Proof positive that Karl Rove's reign of political terror is over, even Heather Wilson is openly speaking against any involvement in the U.S. attorney scandal which brought down former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, and speaking against Karl Rove.



With brother George W. to give him "executive privilege" what's a corrupt former political advisor to do now - complain on Fox News?

Won't help. But, it may be good to let the emotion out - before Rove goes to jail.

One of Sen. Arlen Specter's most ardent town hall critics went on an 'Hannity' last night the same day the 35-year-old passionately pleaded with the Senator to stop health care reform so Americans like her can "take" our country back into the 8 years of complete corporate rule.

However, it's hard to be a conservative folk hero when you already begin to exaggerate your facts. Watch the intro and decide for yourself:



Has anyone asked what is the endgame with the Republican rebellion in the town halls? Clearly, the conservathugs complaints have little to do with health care and more to do with the social and demographic changes transforming America in the 21st Century?

That's what Hannity & Fox News should ask instead of roasting the hapless, scared insular conservative citizens confronting a society needing to be fixed collectively, instead of "piecemeal" in the Clinton and Bush years.

The madness of the GOP over Health Care is leading to conservative cannibalism at Fox News!

Fox News' "The Beltway Boys" co-host, conservative Democrat Mort Kondracke yesterday on Bret Baier's "Special Report" spoke out about his accusation that talk radio hosts like Rush were spurring the right-wing extreme radicals into action at the congressional town halls.



But, as mentioned before, Rush Limbaugh denies all responsibilty. After all, El Rushbo is not a politician, he's just a big bambi with a radio show.

Notice how "Special Report" host Bret Baier is sticking for the conservathug crazies. After all, they're a main ingredient with the "talk TV" ratings behemoth that is Fox News Channel. Baier's smart enough not to mess with the hands that feed you, even if they are those who believe Obama is not an American, that health care reform will lead to socialism, and even those far righties who believe Medicare and the Department of Education should be abolished!

Will the conservathugs stop their escalating madness? Not likely.

Hardball's Chris Matthews, who has little room for fools, got the "big get" of the evening with William Kostrick, a New Hampshire man the local police and secret service had under surveillance at the dual protests section for openly carrying a glock on his leg. The anti-health care protester also carried a sign referencing the quote:

"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

Can you sense the patriotism as the man tries to explain why America is losing its liberty and why carrying a gun to where the President was speaking was necessary?

So, let me try to help this man - really the gun was to help resemble who is the average citizen who believes liberty with health care will eventually extend to fire arms and free of speech? And doesn't know if Obama isn't a citizen?

This morning, Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter (D-PA), who is facing a hefty primary challenge from popular liberal Representative Joe Sestak (D-PA), conducted a town hall meeting in "heavily Republican" Lebanon, Pennsylvania.

The town hall was broadcast on all three cable networks and the conservathugs did not disappoint.

View the raucous scene after a man was the left off the list of 30 questions to ask the Senator. Security had to help resolve the situation. Can we say c.r.a.z.y.?

I know this sounds perverse, but I'd love to see these semi-chaotic scenes all through the August recess. Whatever legitimate concerns the Republicans carry get drowned out by the extremist ideology at work amongst the conservative activists and the questions they pose to lawmakers.

Yesterday, "Obama is a racist" Glenn Beck took a little time out to opine a few words about the battle the country is going through. Taking off the "rodeo clown" mask, Beck for once sounds like the sensible conservative that debuts on the cable airwaves first on CNN Headline News.

Very rarely have people seen crazy Glenn Beck sound so serious. Clearly something is going in conservative circles not seen, since the resistance to the Civil Rights era?

Or is it some frightening emails from deranged patriots mentioning revolution against the first actual practical-thinking Democratic President in nearly a quarter century.

Let's hope what Glenn Beck fears may never come to pass. No telling what's lurking in the deep recesses of his mind.

Safe to say, that will be the general consensus after watching this interview with an independent cameraman who was at the now infamous Rep. Kathy Castor(D-FL) Tampa town hall meeting last week and was filming as the unruly crowd tried to fight their way into the "standing room only" hall.

J. Mark Campbell of the far right, libertarian and "islamophobic" Florida Security Council, supportive followers of controversial "anti-Islam" Dutch politician Geert Wilders, attempts to recall the events leading up to the melee between anti-health care forces and the inside crowd. However, even with Sean Hannity's GOP prodding, Campbell's interview is more noteworthy for what he does not say about the town hall. Mainly, the who, what, when, (we know the where), and why?



Just curious.. interview raised more than a few questions: I noticed that Mark Campbell never identified what group he was with (Florida Security Council). How did Campbell get the information that the Tampa town hall had been stacked with Pipefitter union members? If the men guarding the door were union men committing assault why would they give their cards to the man they were assaulting? Why didn't Campbell file a police report? And (if J. Mark Campbell dealt with terrorists), why didn't he identify what international media organization he served under? And if he didn't go overseas, is Mark trying to say he dealt with middle-east domestic terrorists ?!

Hmm..I think I smell a rat!

No wonder the Florida Security Council looks like a bunch of Flordian libetarian, Freepers off their rocking chairs!

But, try telling that to some of the leading radical anti-abortionist leaders, some of whom have gathered increased scrutiny via the FBI for corresponding and having jailhouse visits with Scott Roeder, the killer of Wichita, Kansas, Dr. George Tiller.

In fact, the FBI is so intrigued by the movement's inter-communication with Roeder, they're exploring a theory that Dr. Tiller's murder was perhaps a larger conspiracy.

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow and guest, Amy Hagstrom Miller, President & CEO, Whole Woman's Health, a network of clinics in Texas and Maryland, give needed attention to this issue of women's rights and public safety, as (again) under a democratic administration, the radical anti-abortion movement committed to violence has blossomed in the heartland.

The far-right leadership communicating to Scott Roeder listed on a manifesto letter from the extreme anti-abortionist Army of God group is chilling.



What is truly worrying is that elements of the far right-wing movement such as the anti-abortionists, anti-tax activists, anti-government Free Republics, and white supremacy elements are profilerating their activities in the face of Obama's "New Foundation" for Change?

Maddow's report raises the spectre that the cultural wars may be just beginning. Who will win: the forces of the past or the future?

What Do The Conservathugs Want?: Hardball's Chris Matthews Grills America for Prosperity's Tim Phillips!!

Answer the question, Tim..

MSNBC's Chris Matthews from Hardball interviewed Tim Phillips from Americans for Prosperity about conservative health care opposition, or 'astroturf', occurring in congressional town hall meetings during the August recess.

Unlike most cable news hosts who let the conservative activists just say no to health care, playing 'Hardball' Chris Matthews wanted to know what exactly in amongst the four 1,000 + bill versions that Phillips' organization objected to. Even more important, what parts of health care reform did they and their anti-health care allies approve of.

Chris Matthews' patience vs. Tim Phillips rhetoric: you hear the talking points (amidst the crickets)? Feel the tension?

Say what? Phillips should have developed better answers to Matthews' questions. If you know health care reform on some level will be passed, wouldn't be more productive to advocate policy adjustments on the margins, rather than extreme tactics such as the verbal (and increasingly physical) showdows occurring at the health care meetings.

In this convo, I'd score it: Matthews 1, Phillips 0.

Today on 'America's Newsroom', Indiana Rep. Mike Pence(R) gave a phone interview to host Megyn Kelly to preempt midday coverage of Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill's Missouri town hall meeting. Giving the GOP spin Rep. Pence defends the conservative activists attempting to shut down the health care town halls from the Pelosi/ Hoyer House Democratic charges of "un-American" activities.

Can Mike Pence fight fire with fire - apparently, yes, when you don't have people screaming at you:



Oh, this is the losing argument Republican politicians are falling back on: that the conservathugs are poor, concern people wanting to ask questions. Funny, all you see are far right talking points (via FreedomWorks), organized crowds yelling, and activists carrying video cameras to load onto YouTube.

Does Rep. Pence have selective amnesia?

To be nice, I'm going to give Pence the benefit of a doubt. After all, how can he explain his party's inaction on health care the past eight years?

Illinois' Senator Dick Durbin Sunday was on CNN's State of the Union with John King who then asked whether Durbin was open to dropping the public option to move forward. Here is his "response":

How refreshing! Dick Durbin doesn't say "no", but he doesn't say "yes" either. Just "open"..with a firm majority in the Senate. Is there any reason why Majority Leader Senator Harry Reid can't strong arm the votes needed to ensure a strong national public insurance plan?

For health care reform to be effective, the insurance playing field must be changed for consumer first, and business interests last, especially when the insurance companies stand to earn dream profits with 95% + of Americans suddenly added to the insurance roles.

When the Obama administration and the Democrats negotiate with the Republicans for months and all they get is delays and calls that they haven't negotiated (even with all the Republican amendments), it's time to reconciliation.

Obama 2009 will not be Clinton 1993.
